GENERAL INFORMATION


The Audiological Resource Association's 2009 Winter Conference will be held at the Doubletree Hotel, Southpark in Charlotte, NC February 20-22, 2009. 

The Friday morning program will feature Michael Phillips, Unitron Hearing, presenting a Hands-On Hearing Aid Modification Workshop.

A luncheon will be provided on Friday.

Friday afternoon, Jay Hall, Ph.D., will present Update on Electro-Acoustic and Electrophysiologic Procedures in Audiology Today courtesy of Cardinal Health/GSI.

Friday evening ARA will host heavy hor'derves and drinks for all members and their families.

Saturday morning, Robert Fifer, Ph.D., will present Hot Topics in Reimbursement and Coding.

CEU INFORMATION

This program has been applied for continuing education from the National Institute for Hearing Instrument Studies, the American Academy of Audiology, and the state of North Carolina to offer CEUs for this activity.  This program has also applied for a maximum 10 Tier 1 continuing education hours toward the American Board of Audiology recertification requirements.  The program is worth a maximum of 1.0 CEUs.  AAA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, or clinical procedures.


LODGING

The Doubletree Guest Suites in the South Park area of Charlotte, NC is an upscale hotel located close to shopping and restaurants.  Room rates are $119.00 per night and the hotel phone number is (704) 364-2400.  Room reservations much be made by January 19, 2009 in order to receive the reduced rate.  Be sure to identify yourself as an ARA member to receive the reduced rate.


Wireless Hearing Solutions Pre-Conference Loop Installation Workshop
February 18-19, 2009


Once again, Wireless Hearing Solutions is generously offering a pre-conference workshop February 18-19, 2009.  The training is two very full days and covers induction loop history, technology(s), application and advantages, and then transitions to how it can help your practice, how to estimate a commercial job, engineering a loop, and finally an actual installation.  Several members have attended in the past or sent a representative from their office to learn how to install induction loops.
